Explaining the importance of an accurate financial declaration is nearly impossible. Not only is it required by Rule 20, SCRFC, but without it it’s impossible for the court to set alimony, child support, divide property, or require the other side to pay your attorney’s fees. If you want the Family Court to help you, do yourself a favor by spending adequate time completing an accurate financial declaration.
